From all the forecasts, it looks like this weekend is going to be a hot one here in Red Deer, Alberta, so we decided to make a pitcher of our simple iced coffee. This would make a great après-dinner drink to share with someone special. Pour a couple of glasses and spend some time together in the sunshine. Served as is, it’s a refreshing and not too sweet treat on a warm afternoon, but top it with whipped cream and a drizzle of chocolate syrup and you’ll take it to a whole other level!
What you’ll need:
4 cups of fresh brewed coffee
2 to 3 tablespoons sugar (depending on how sweet you like it)
½ cup cream
½ teaspoon vanilla
Ice
Whipped cream (optional)
Hershey’s chocolate syrup (optional)
What you’ll do:
Pour hot coffee into a pitcher and add the sugar, cream, and vanilla. Stir until the sugar dissolves and then place in fridge to cool.
Serve in a tall glass over ice. Top with a dollop of whipped cream and a drizzle of chocolate syrup.
It’s that simple! No harder than making a cup of coffee—it just takes a bit longer…
